Engineering Technician – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: North East England | On-site (Earlies / Lates)
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to support high-volume electronics manufacturing in a regulated production environment.
This role sits between production operators and engineers, focusing on machine operation, process understanding, and first-line troubleshooting across multiple automated manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day running of production equipment

Respond to line stops and restore production quickly
*
Troubleshoot process and machine-related issues
*
Support new product and equipment introductions
*
Drive basic continuous improvement and yield enhancement
*
Maintain work instructions and manufacturing documentation
*
Assist with commissioning, validation, and preventative maintenance
Equipment Exposure
Screen printing, dispensing, pick & place, die attach, wire bonding, laser marking, wave soldering.
About You

Technically curious and hands-on
*
Strong understanding of machine operating principles
*
Comfortable fault-finding and process troubleshooting
*
Keen to develop engineering-level skills
*
Team player who works well under pressure
Requirements
*
HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) in engineering/technical discipline
*
Interest in mechanical, electronic, or production engineering
*
Computer-literate
Desirable
Lean manufacturing, electronics assembly, CAD, ISO-regulated environments.
