Hours: Up to 15 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 20:30–23:30), with potential weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday 5pm–10pm)

About International House London
International House London is an established and well-known language school, with over sixty years of experience in providing language courses and teacher training programmes. Our spacious and fully equipped school is based near Covent Garden, and we are a founding member of the International House World Organisation.
Role requirements:
This exciting and varied role will entail working closely with and support the Head of Facilities and wider facilities department to maintain cleanliness standards by performing various cleaning duties. In addition, the postholder will do general cleaning including (but not limited to) the washing of used cutlery/mugs, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, dusting windowsills, skirting boards, computer screens, keyboards, telephones and do the daily cleaning of classroom white boards and the wipe down of office/classroom desks as assigned.
The role holder will also keep general waste and recyclable waste separate and clean working surfaces and other furniture as directed. Furthermore, the post holder will clean glass partitions in offices and other windows, as and when required.
Finally, the role holder will stock cleaning cupboards as and when required, as well as refill hand soap, toilet paper and hand towels when necessary.
Person specification:
Our ideal candidate will:
* Be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with attention to detail
* Understand health and safety practices and safe use of cleaning products
* Be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends
* Work well in a small team and communicate clearly in spoken English
* Be physically able to move light furniture and use standard cleaning equipment
* Have basic IT skills and an understanding of recycling
It's desirable to have or be willing to complete COSHH, First Aid, and other basic training. Previous cleaning experience, especially in a school, is an advantage.
