Winner Recruitment is proud to be partnering with an exciting and fast-growing organisation within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Facilities sector. Renowned for their passion and high standards, our client consistently delivers excellence across all their contracts. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking to expand their commercial team with the addition of a skilled M&E Estimator.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to further their career within a thriving and forward-thinking business, with real potential for progression. You will play a key role in pricing and estimating maintenance works across a range of Mechanical and Electrical assets.
The Role
* Conduct detailed Mechanical & Electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) cost estimations for new contracts, contract variations, and re-tenders. This includes the creation of asset schedules and supporting the preparation of proposals for client submission.
Addendums & Variations Estimation:
* Prepare cost estimations and pricing for contract addendums and variations, ensuring alignment with internal schedules, customer-prepared SLAs, and deadlines.
Process Improvement:
* Continuously improve internal processes related to the production, submission, and management of enquiries and associated estimating systems.
Lead & Enquiry Management:
* Gather and communicate sales intelligence, including internal and customer-driven leads or enquiries, to the Business Development Director for potential business opportunities.
* Work from surveys, pre-existing tender documentation, and client enquiries to deliver timely and accurate pricing. Create asset schedules using MS Excel and develop professional proposals in MS Word that align with client expectations and requirements.
Site Surveys:
* Conduct site surveys independently or in conjunction with colleagues to gather accurate data for estimation purposes.
* Ensure all PPM estimations are aligned with internal task schedules, allocated timeframes, customer SLAs, and specifications.
* Obtain technically compliant and cost-effective quotations from specialist suppliers and subcontractors. Support their evaluation and selection to ensure value, quality, and compliance with client requirements.
* Evaluate the technical and commercial aspects of tender documents and SLAs. Balance strict compliance with statutory, technical, and performance standards against commercial risk and competitiveness. Provide input into bid/no-bid decision-making processes.
