Hays are working exclusively with a successful business in Telford who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a part time permanent basis, (c 30 hours per week)
Your new role
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and duties will include:
1. Assist with data entry of financial transactions into SAGE 50
2. Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payment
3. Process customer payments
4. Manage credit control function
5. Experience of Invoice Financing preferred
6. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
7. Process credit card statements
8. Assist with day to day HR administration
9. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
10. Support the finance team with ad hoc projects as needed
What you'll need to succeed
11. Previous experience in a similar Accounting role required
12. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
13. Excellent organisational and time management skills
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
