With decades of experience and a strong reputation for quality and innovation, the organisation continues to grow and is now seeking to appoint a Estimator to join its busy commercial team. Role Overview The Estimator will support the Lead Estimator and work within a collaborative sales and estimating team. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and liaising with clients and contractors to secure and deliver projects. This role will suit someone with proven experience in estimating, strong technical and commercial acumen, and the motivation to contribute to a growing business. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and supporting documentation for civil engineering projects. Interpret drawings, Bills of Quantities, and technical specifications to ensure pricing is precise and competitive. Communicate and negotiate with clients and contractors to develop strong commercial relationships. Provide updates on project status, tenders, and orders to internal stakeholders. Organise and attend client meetings, representing the business in a professional manner. Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing, on-time delivery, and compliance with customer requirements. Contribute to the achievement of monthly sales and performance targets. Assist with resolving technical queries and support continuous process improvements. Skills & Experience: Essential: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. Strong estimating experience within the civil engineering or construction sector. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong organisational and project management skills. IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events when required. Desirable: 35 years experience in a similar role within a fast-paced commercial or technical environment. Experience in precast or structural products. Familiarity with CRM systems.
