Position: Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Shrewsbury
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized learning activities.
* Support the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
* Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and support their development.
* Promote positive behavior and assist students in developing self-regulation and social skills.
* Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEND education is an advantage.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
