CDW is seeking a commercially minded, data-driven Head of Human Resources Business Partners to provide strategic leadership to our HRBP team and work in partnership with our business leaders to drive HR best practice. A pivotal role in the HR Senior Leadership team, this position will be responsible for aligning people strategies with organisational priorities, driving strategic workforce and demand planning, and embedding global and regional HR programmes into our UK and International teams. What you will do Business Partnership Work in partnership with the Head of Talent COE to deliver the strategic workforce and demand planning strategy through organisational assessment, helping the business to proactively understand the root cause of challenges, identify future workforce needs and implement solutions to ensure organisational agility and long-term success. Work in partnership with the business using financial and operational drivers to identify and prioritise business HR needs, using that information to inform wider HR strategies and planning. Monitor internal and external HR trends & changes to align to market best practice and influence business priorities, delivering measurable impact. Align with the Global HR Business Partner strategy to ensure UK&I adoption, feeding back UK&I business requirements and influencing the agenda. Leverage business-relevant and workforce-level insights and trends to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. Support central HR teams in communicating and reinforcing HR initiatives and best practice such as performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, change and transformation activities. Lead the business in the adoption of AI, analytics and self-service HR tools. Project manage and deliver relevant HR projects and initiatives as required. Drive and support change initiatives across the HR function, contributing to transformation projects that improve processes and outcomes. Governance, risk management & compliance Responsible for the HRBP budget, working with finance to ensure budget is within agreed targets. Work with the business to anticipate HR risks, ensuring mitigation plans and controls are in place as needed. Stakeholder management & collaboration Deputise for the Director of HR on HRBP initiatives as required. Operate as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor Build key relationships across the business using your influencing skills to gain buy-in and drive change. Collaborate with HR centres of expertise to identify the root cause of challenges and determine the appropriate intervention strategies. Partner with HR Shared Services (HRSS) to ensure transactional and standard HR inquiries are efficiently managed, enabling the HRBP team to focus on strategic business partnership and value-added activities. Drive and deliver change initiatives across the HR function, contributing to transformation projects that improve processes and outcomes, collaborating with other teams as needed. Team leadership & development Lead a team of approximately five HRBPs. Focus on team wellbeing, role modelling CDW values. Create a high-performance culture, connecting with the team to energise, inspire and motivate. Develop and coach your team to enhance capability, ensuring SMART goals that drive delivery against the People Strategy are in place for all. What we expect of you Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a HRBP role, ideally within a global, sales-driven organisation. Exceptional commercial awareness, business acumen, and strategic thinking. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels and create a narrative to secure business buy-in and adoption, delivering high-impact Demonstrated ability to apply strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify market trends, and inform evidence-based decision-making, influence stakeholders and improve the coworker experience. Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally and globally to align HR strategies with business objectives. Navigates complex organizational structures and adapts quickly to changing business needs, fostering collaboration across teams and functions. Proven experience with demand and workforce planning. Project management experience. Demonstrates a strong drive for results, ensuring high standards of delivery and continuous improvement across all HRBP activities. Maintains a clear focus on achieving business outcomes, proactively addressing challenges and seizing opportunities to add value. Acts as a role model for professionalism and integrity, building credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels. Champions talent management and development initiatives, supporting succession planning and the growth of future leaders. Provides expert coaching and advisory support through targeted feedback and strategic insight to business leaders and HRBPs, enhancing capability and driving a culture of continuous learning. Strong understanding of digital HR tools and emerging AI technologies to enhance HR processes and analytics. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Commitment to creating inclusive, engaging experiences that prioritise employee wellbeing and growth. Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed. Strong background in change management and transformation within HR or broader business functions. Experience with Workday and other HR systems.
