An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Turnaround Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as an Improvement Project Manager.
The postholder will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. The postholder will be a member of the Financial Turnaround Team, supporting major projects across the Trust to deliver financial sustainability.
This post holder will work with project teams across the Trust to support their delivery, ensuring key projects are on-track and have the necessary support to deliver.
Main duties of the job
The Improvement Project Manager will:
* Support the delivery and development of improved performance and quality across the organisation, and meet Trust financial targets whilst maintaining clinical safety.
* Lead and project manage specified programmes within the organisation. This requires the ability to plan and organise a broad range of complex activities within strategic context, adjusting as required.
* Ensure measurable outcomes are in place and fit for purpose for all projects undertaken.
* Collaborate with project teams and Care Groups to enable and support the delivery of both organisational and care group level objectives.
* Support the embedding of service improvement and project management skills across the Trust.

* Proven experience of successful delivery of strategic initiatives or projects
* Proven track record of delivering sustained service improvement initiatives
* Successful record of high level engagement with a wide range of stakeholders
* Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
* Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
* Working in a range of teams and across a matrix organisational structure
* Delivery of training and support in improvement/project management delivery methods
* Operational management within a healthcare setting

* Knowledge of Improvement science – range of methodology and applications
* Knowledge of the human dimension of change
* Knowledge of health service management including change management and workforce redesign
