Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb and Knee Surgeon

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) is seeking to recruit a Locum Consultant in Upper Limb and Knee Surgery. The postholder will support increased activity and provide flexibility delivering a high‑quality service to patients referred from primary care, triage services and other secondary or tertiary care providers.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will initially have a 10 PA job plan consisting of a mix of Orthopaedic clinics and theatres with the opportunity to pursue leadership, research or teaching interests.
The appointee will be expected to undertake and deliver quality improvement work as part of their SPA allocation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* CCT or CESR (CP) - proposed
* Full GMC Registration
Skills
* Minimum 2 years Orthopaedic Oncology surgical experience at middle grade level to include at least 12 months experience at fellowship level.
* 1-year Fellowship experience in soft tissue reconstruction and Arthroscopy knee and shoulder surgery.
* Strong record in research publication
Knowledge
* Evidence of clear commitment to delivering high quality patient care including attendance and contribution to speciality meetings
