To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards across the business, the SHEQ C‑Ordinator ensures compliance with legal and company requirements, promotes a positive safety culture, and drives initiatives that enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across depots and transport routes.
* Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to drivers and operational staff.
* Maintain accident and incident records and report to relevant authorities as required.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BRCGS).
* Control and maintain the company’s Training matrix.
* Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits and accreditations.
* Monitor and report on KPIs related to SHEQ performance.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management.
* Monthly meetings with the UK Head of Compliance.
* Travel to other Rhenus UK facilities will be required.
* Maintain documentation and records to be always audit ready.
