I'm thrilled to be currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join a growing and supportive finance team based in Peterborough. Key Responsibilities: Process high volumes of purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding Assist with sales ledger duties including raising invoices and credit control Perform bank reconciliations and support with month-end processes Ensure all invoices are approved in line with company procedures Handle supplier queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support payment runs and maintain accurate financial records Assist with VAT returns and financial reporting where required Requirements: Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role Strong understanding of purchase and/or sales ledger processes Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team What’s on Offer: Competitive salary of £27,000 – £28,000 Full-time, stable position within a growing business Supportive team environment with training and development opportunities Opportunity to gain broader exposure within finance If you are a motivated finance professional looking for your next opportunity in Peterborough, we would love to hear from you.
