Offer description

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will help deliver care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, with residents who are individuals with their own stories.

You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain the highest standards of care and influence the team. You may show someone how to use a walking frame, support a resident at the end of life, or speak with a resident’s family, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.

One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.

Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like, manage your time effectively, and communicate with residents and co-workers with genuine kindness.

This is a full-time position working 44 hours per week.

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.

To provide the kindest possible care there are five qualities that everyone on the HC-One team shows up with and coaches in each other every day. We call these five qualities Kindness the HC-One Way: we are curious, compassionate, creative, courageous, and counted on.

We champion inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows us to learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve.
