Overview

Our key sectors include Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, supported by regional offices and a manufacturing hub in Somerset. Projects range in value from £5k to £15m, where we act as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and support our Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.
Purpose of the Role
To oversee and manage a team of electricians on programmes of work across the South East region.
The Role
This is a permanent full-time role.
Contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Travel time door to door is paid on top of contracted and overtime hours. A company van is provided, with a fuel card issued.
Responsibilities
* To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
* Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
* To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
* To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices
* Promote and demonstrate Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
* Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peer group
* To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation
Requirements
* ECS gold card (essential)
* SSSTS / SMSTS (essential)
* Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, site managing electrical projects
* Experience within water / heavy industrial industries
* Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
* Fit to work medical (can be completed upon starting employment)

* EUSR water hygiene

* Inspection and testing certification
