We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our Brampton House District Nursing team at St John and St Elizabeth Hospital, St John's Wood. Whowe'relooking for: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Substantialexperience in acute or community care NHS experience is essential; community experience is a plus (training provided!) Team players who value diversity and holistic care Main duties of the job Provide high-quality care to patients in their homes. Person Specification Education/Qualification Essential Higher Professional Diploma in Health and Wellbeing (NVQ/QCF - Level 3) or A recognised equivalent course Willingness to undertake further training as appropriate Desirable GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths ECDL certificate Registration with the national regulatory body (when it becomes available). Experience Essential Experience of working in a health or social care setting Experience of working as part of a team Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of databases. Desirable Experience with the NHS patient information database (Rio, CIS) Skills & Knowledge Essential Knowledge of NHS Demonstrate an acceptable level of numeracy and literacy An awareness of risk management. Knowledge of multi-agency services available and processes for referral Knowledge of the effects of the ageing process and needs of vulnerable adults in relation to their health and well-being Desirable Knowledge of local health needs strategies.
