HR Business Partner – Employee Relations Focus- Hybrid- West Midlands
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner with a strong background in Employee Relations (ER) to join a growing People team. This is a hands-on, role that supports leaders and managers to drive a positive, high-performance culture while managing complex ER issues with confidence and professionalism.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to the business, partnering closely with managers to deliver pragmatic HR solutions, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, capability, and absence management.
* Coach and support line managers to develop confidence and capability in managing people effectively.
* Partner with leaders to drive engagement, performance, and cultural initiatives across the business.
* Support organisational change, restructures, and redundancy consultations with expert HR advice.
* Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure policies and procedures remain compliant, fair, and aligned to best practice.
* Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making on workforce trends, retention, and engagement.
* Contribute to projects in areas such as wellbeing, DE&I, and employee engagement.
About You
* Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations.
* Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Confident in managing complex and sensitive HR issues end-to-end.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a pragmatic and solution-focused approach.
* CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
