Job Summary
We are seeking an assistant to support our practice manager in effectively managing patient services and overall practice operations.
The post-holder will work closely with and under the direction of the practice manager to assist in day-to-day practice operations.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are to provide support to the practice manager in the running of key systems and procedures such as staff training records, supporting the practice manager in updating practice policies, procedures, risk assessments, CQC requirements, practice communications, and annual returns and audits.
The post-holder will need to become familiar with all functions of the clinical systems and their applications, plus national and local quality standards for primary care.
About Us
Balance Street Practice is set in the town of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. We have a patient population of 14,500 and dispense to just under 6,000 patients. The Practice consists of 6 GP Partners, 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Nurse Associate, 2 Healthcare Assistants, 1 GP Assistant, 1 Physicians Associate, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, and has a Care Coordination team, Medicine Management Team, Reception, Dispensary, and Administration team.

You will be joining a well-established team that undertakes a variety of tasks to support and liaise with the in-house clinical team and other local healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain pertinent information.

Job Responsibilities
* Support the Practice manager in project work and the running of key systems such as staff training records, third-party services, and maintenance contractors.
* Maintain employee and visiting consultant records, significant events registers, and data protection records.
* Assist in updating practice policies, procedures, risk assessments, CQC requirements, practice communications, annual returns, and audits.
* Manage safeguarding registers and communications with safeguarding teams and social services.
* Support data entry and verification tasks as required.
* Promote, monitor, and document performance and quality standards within the practice using IT and manual solutions.
* Familiarize with clinical software systems and support data quality management.
* Undertake specific tasks, project support, or development/change work as needed.

* Experience in a similar GP practice role
