Salary: £89–£100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time (8:30am–3:30pm)
New Directions are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or equivalent) to support pupils aged 7–14 years with ASC, complex needs and PMLD. This role is based in a specialist provision in Partington, Trafford, with travel to Altrincham, therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:
6. Provide 1:1 support for pupils aged 7–14 with ASC, complex needs, and PMLD
7. Support pupils with personal care, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing where required
8. Use communication strategies such as PECs, Makaton, and visual supports
9. Assist with delivering personalised learning activities under teacher guidance
10. Support behaviour, engagement, and social interaction using positive strategies
11. Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to follow individual education plans
The Candidate:
12. Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
13. Has experience supporting children with ASC, complex needs, or PMLD
14. Confident providing 1:1 support, including personal care where necessary
15. Patient, compassionate, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
16. Reliable and flexible, with the ability to travel between Partington and Altrincham
17. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential
