Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Heath Farm School, Ashford
Salary: £18,118.75 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start Date: October 2025

As part of our continued growth, we invite you to join Heath Farm School, part of Acorn Education, within Outcomes First Group. This is a Learning Support Assistant role supporting teachers to tailor teaching to pupils’ educational needs, maximise achievement, and support development in a school with varied and complex needs. The role involves working with individual and small groups, preparing classrooms and materials, building positive relationships to promote interaction and learning, and assisting in planning and delivery of lessons in a creative and positive setting.
Responsibilities
* Support teachers to deliver lessons and adapt activities to meet pupils’ educational needs.
* Work with individual and small groups to promote learning and engagement.
* Prepare classrooms and teaching materials; assist in lesson planning and delivery as appropriate.
* Build positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction, learning and safeguarding within a strong safeguarding culture.
* Contribute to a calm, engaging, and resilient environment; motivate pupils to reach their potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support pupils with varied and complex needs, including those in SEN/ASC settings (experience desirable but not required).
Qualifications and Requirements
* Educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
* Calm, engaging, and resilient; able to work as part of a team; motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.
* Experience in SEN/ASC environments is desirable; strong support and personal qualities are essential.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils; DBs and safeguarding checks will apply.
* UK eligibility to work; no sponsorship available.

4 Day Week (4DWW) trial: You will be paid for full-time hours while working 4 days per week. 4DWW is subject to successful probation and is not a contractual benefit. You will work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay. Details subject to policy and compliance.
