Commercial Director – Eastern Region A rapidly growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead its Eastern Region. The business continues to expand with a strong order book and a diverse portfolio of commercial offices, hospitality, hotels, student accommodation, residential, new build and major refurbishment projects, delivering schemes up to £50m. The wider group is on track for £200m turnover, supported by sustainable growth and a strong leadership structure. The Role As Commercial Director for the Eastern Region, you will oversee a business currently at £30m turnover with a clear plan to grow to £50m. You will lead a team of two Senior Quantity Surveyors and one Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ensuring commercial performance, accurate reporting, governance, client engagement and strong financial leadership across all regional projects. Key Responsibilities • Full commercial leadership for the Eastern Region • Budgeting, forecasting and reporting at board level • Leadership and development of the commercial team • Oversight of both development projects and director‑led schemes • Strengthening client and supply chain relationships • Supporting business development and regional growth plans • Ensuring commercial governance, cost control and risk management About You Ideal for a Managing Quantity Surveyor ready for the next step, or a Commercial Manager looking for full regional responsibility. You will be commercially sharp, hands‑on, confident working with operational teams, influential, ambitious and able to support growth in a fast‑developing region. Strong leadership skills, excellent client relationship ability and a proactive approach to commercial strategy are essential.
