The Role
We are looking to recruit a Senior Health Care Support Worker to join the Radiology Ward at University Hospital Wishaw.
The Senior Health Care Support will provide a high standard of care to a diverse patient group of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, and clinical conditions during radiological imaging procedures. This includes CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and plain film examinations.
They will also assist radiology staff in producing high-quality images across all imaging modalities, ensuring patient-centered care and smooth workflow within the department and hospital.
Annex 21
Applicants not meeting the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, during which they will be paid a percentage of the top of Band 3. Upon completion of training, they will progress to Band 3 scale.

What we'll need you to bring
* SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical (including radiographic modules) or equivalent radiography experience, or working towards it
* SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment, or working towards it
* Candidates without radiography experience will be considered under Annex U arrangements, starting at 75% of the salary scale
* Up to 3 months induction, followed by training to achieve full competency within 12 months
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written
* Ability to organize workload and adapt to changing circumstances
* Proficient computer skills
Additional desirable skills
* Ability to perform patient care tasks effectively in a busy environment
