As a Production Supervisor at Terex, based in Omagh, you'll play a pivotal role in building equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Production Manager the Supervisor will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to managing and coordinating the building of mobile crushing machines to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner.
Duties include:
1. Lead and manage the production team on a daily basis in terms of labour, work instruction, attendance management, training and development; and all areas of employee relations.
2. Controlling and managing the production levels on the shop floor, to ensure that the targets are achieved.
3. Monitor the continual flow of material so that relevant parts and materials are available in a timely manner.
4. Strive for continuous improvement guaranteeing that the highest quality of product is maintained.
5. To attend and organise the daily and weekly production meetings.
6. Promote health and safety within the workplace and ensure compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.
7. To ensure the production line is run in accordance with lean manufacturing practices and principals.
8. Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
9. Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations and Policies.
What you’ll bring:
Experience & Qualifications:
10. Candidates should be qualified to minimum of GCSE level or equivalent.
11. Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment.
12. Experience and proven track record of Supervisory and /or people management is essential.
13. An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques an advantage.
14. Awareness of visual management.
15. Computer literate and experience of Oracle /ERP systems.
16. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities and goals.
18. Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
