The Role
A talented and experienced Mid-weight Interior Designer with a proven track record in interior design and ready to take on more responsibility and leadership within projects. As a Mid-weight Interior Designer, you will play a key role in the design process, from concept development to project execution, as well as act as main a contact for client communication, while also mentoring junior team members and collaborating with senior designers.

Mid-Weight Interior Designer Duties
Design Development:
* Lead the development of design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for client projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
* Take ownership of space planning and layout design, optimising functionality, circulation, and spatial flow within interior spaces.
Material and Finish Selection:
* Research, specify, and source materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories that align with design concepts, client preferences, and project budgets.
* Have a good knowledge of and rapport with suppliers, understanding how they can support the design process.
3D Modelling and visualization:
* Utilise advanced 3D modeling software (such as Revit) to create detailed models and realistic renderings of interior spaces, effectively communicating design intent.
* Have an appreciation of design and build, understanding how buildability can be applied to designs.
Documentation:
* Preparation of design documentation, including design direction presentations, tender drawings, construction drawing and control books.
* Prepare comprehensive tender and construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, adhering to industry and company standards and regulations.
Client Communication:
* Be involved in client meetings and act as a point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to ensure client satisfaction throughout the design process.
Project Coordination:
* Collaborate with project team members, including architects, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure project requirements are met and timelines are adhered to.
Mentorship and Leadership:
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development within the company.
Expected Software Skills
* Revit – preferred
* AutoCAD
* Rendering software Enscape preferably (others- V-Ray, Lumion, Twin Motion)
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating presentations and graphic materials.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
* 3-5 years of progressive experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful project outcomes and design expertise.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Comfortable with client communication and interaction.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for design innovation and excellence.
