Bodyshop Manager – New Malden Area
£60,000 Basic | OTE £80,000 | Monday–Friday | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Our client, a well-established and busy automotive bodyshop in the New Malden area, is looking to recruit an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead their workshop team and drive operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven bodyshop professional who enjoys managing people, maintaining high repair standards, and ensuring a smooth, efficient workshop operation.
The Role
Reporting into senior management, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy bodyshop handling 8–10 vehicles per day. You will oversee a team of around 12 staff in total, including 7 technicians in the workshop, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting and motivating the team, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operation of the bodyshop
* Manage and support a team of approximately 12 staff
* Ensure 8–10 vehicles per day are processed efficiently through the workshop
* Maintain high repair quality and productivity standards
* Manage workflow, scheduling, and workshop performance
* Support and develop the team to maximise efficiency and morale
* Ensure health & safety and operational processes are followed
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who brings previous bodyshop management experience and a strong understanding of workshop operations.
You will ideally have:
* Previous Bodyshop Manager or Assistant Bodyshop Manager experience
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and workflow management ability
* A proactive, hands-on approach to running a busy workshop
* A focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Package
* £60,000 basic salary
* OTE up to £80,000
* Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (some flexibility may be available)
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Onsite parking
* Stable, well-run bodyshop with consistent workflow
