Workshop MIG Welder
We are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder, working within our fabrication facilities. James Engineering is a family run business specialising in the design, fabrication & installation of secondary steelwork/retro fit works, staircases c/w handrail/balustrade, mezzanine floors, chimneys, ducting and flue support structures to name a few.
Responsibility and Duties
* Experience in working with carbon steel (3mm to 50mm) and stainless steel (3mm and above).
* Demonstration of previous welding experience via codings (current or lapsed), with varying positions preferable.
* Ability to work from company Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
* Understanding of pre weld heat treatment from WPS’s and application of such.
* Competent welder for fillet weld and butt welds in varying joint types.
* Reasonable understanding of weld defects under visual inspection desirable.
* Some plating experience desirable.
* A good work ethic and attitude.
* Overtime may be required to keep pace with our full order book. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.
