About Us

Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independent charitable hospitals, located in the heart of London's medical district. We have built a strong reputation for delivering outstanding patient care across a wide range of specialties.

Our main hospital spans 8 floors with 234 beds and 10 operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre, supported by a 13-bed intensive care unit. We also have a dedicated Cancer Centre, supporting patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery with specialist multidisciplinary care.

Our Mental Health Care Team provides psychological support across both inpatient and outpatient services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised, high quality care. The service supports a diverse patient group, with a strong focus on oncology, alongside a broader mix of medical and non-medical patients.

The Role

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will take a senior role in delivering specialist psychological care across the hospital, working with both inpatients and outpatients. You will manage a varied outpatient caseload; roughly 70% of referrals are oncology patients and 30% covering a wider mix of medical and non-medical presentations.

You will provide expert psychological assessment and intervention, including bedside consultations, supporting patients through complex and often sensitive health journeys. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure psychological care is fully integrated into patient treatment plans.

Alongside clinical work, you will contribute to service development, governance, audit, and training, helping to shape and strengthen the psychology offering across the organisation. This is a role that requires confidence, autonomy, and strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.

This is a Monday to Friday service, typically 9am to 5pm. We can offer compressed hours from Tuesday to Friday, working 8.30am to 6.30pm. Hybrid working may be available in the future, to be discussed after probation, with 3 days onsite required.

* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards

* HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist
* Minimum 2 years post qualification experience
* Experience working across both hospital-based and outpatient clinic settings
* Confidence managing both medical and non-medical caseloads, ideally with oncology exposure
* Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
