An exciting role is available within our Intensive Support Team for children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. We are committed to developing high-quality, evidence-based services and seek enthusiastic, highly motivated clinicians to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
You will be joining an innovative team working collaboratively with multiple agencies and professionals. We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse. Applications from allied health professionals such as social workers and occupational therapists with relevant experience are also welcome. Our services cater to all ages, and we welcome applicants with experience working with either children or adults with learning disabilities or autism.
Our goal is to improve service users' lives by understanding the functions of challenging behaviors and preventing risk factors such as placement or care breakdown and hospital admissions. The service covers East and West Suffolk, with responsibilities based in Ipswich. We value creative thinking and working with individuals and their carers.
The caseload is team-supported and includes input from behavioural nurse specialists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and speech and language therapists. You will work independently, conduct comprehensive holistic assessments, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to deliver interventions. We utilize Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behavioural Analysis approaches.
We seek a confident practitioner experienced in working with individuals with learning disabilities or autism. You should be able to apply your skills across various situations, working with a range of service users and their families or paid carers within the community.
