Overview
The Asset Manager at TieTalent is responsible for ensuring that property assets are safe, well-maintained, and financially sustainable over time. The role involves assessing how assets are used, making strategic decisions to support long-term viability, and maintaining accurate asset data and information systems. The Asset Manager monitors compliance with legal, statutory, contractual, and regulatory obligations to ensure the organisation meets its responsibilities. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear information on asset management and reporting on asset status. The Asset Manager also oversees fixed asset registers and offers informed recommendations regarding investment and divestment. Thorough inspections may be conducted prior to and following contractor work to ensure quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and monitor the inspection regime to ensure adherence to the organisation's property requirements and specifications. Conduct property condition surveys as needed, ensuring actions meet the Decent Home Standard.
* Maintain and oversee asset management data with accurate record-keeping and effective use of information systems.
* Support the compliance team by providing guidance and building strong relationships across the organisation.
* Lead on asset-related queries, ensuring resident safety by collaborating with compliance and housing officers.
* Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including health and safety rating systems.
* Evaluate new assets for suitability and sustainability, making strategic recommendations.
* Drive continuous service improvements and identify innovative solutions where required.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, partners, and external agencies.
* Contribute to projects aimed at ensuring all assets remain safe, well-maintained, and financially viable.
Qualifications
* A degree or relevant qualification in property, estates management, facilities, surveying, or similar (e.g., RICS).
* Awareness of asset management principles.
