Supply Chain Operative (JR) - Centralised Recruitment
The Supply Chain Operative at JR Site will work Monday to Friday, as the service operates 5 days a week. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clinical staff and other members of the supply chain team.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor access to the computerized traceability and stock management system, ensuring security procedures are followed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, and the Code of Practice on Confidentiality.
* Place orders, receive, check, store safely, and distribute all surgical consumable materials.
* Coordinate stock levels within budgets as determined by ward matrons and team leaders.
* Ensure all stock is stored according to manufacturers' recommendations.
* Manage the ordering and delivery of high-cost surgical consumables, verifying items on receipt for correctness and damage, and recording this in the stock management system.
* Respond to store service requests, including arranging couriers and ensuring the security of storage containers, with direct return to NHS supplies and suppliers.
* Maintain stock rotation to minimize waste.
* Keep storage areas clean and tidy through daily cleaning and rubbish removal.
* Organize and conduct annual materials management audits.
* Handle physical tasks such as pushing and pulling metal cages and heavy lifting.
