SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant and inclusive special school in Sheffield that supports pupils aged 11–19 with a wide range of complex needs.
This school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students with:
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Sensory impairments (VI/HI)
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to their individual needs.
* Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
* Assist with personal care and mobility needs, including Moving & Handling (training provided if needed).
* Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful learning environment.
What We’re Looking For

* Experience working in SEN settings or with children/young people with additional needs.
* A calm, caring, and patient nature.
* Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
* Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with autism, communication difficulties, and sensory needs.
* Training in Team Teach or Moving & Handling is highly desirable but not essential.
