Warehouse Operator
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to manage all operational activities at our client's site. This role focuses on driving process and operational efficiencies, aligning site activities with commercial goals, and ensuring productivity, profitability, and efficiency to meet business requirements. You'll play a key role in strategic development and direction, driving cultural change, and improving health and safety, quality, and customer delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Group policies, as well as relevant legislation.
Operational Excellence: Work within the Operations Team to meet and exceed productivity, customer service, and quality targets.
Safety-First Approach: Develop and maintain a "safety-first" culture within Operations.
Customer Focus: Sustain a strong customer-focus through the standardised application of lean techniques.
Efficient Operations: Oversee picking and loading of vehicles, ensuring alignment between customer demands and operational capacity.
Stock Integrity: Maintain effective receipt, storage, and dispatch processes, ensuring stock is correctly labelled and secured.
Site Security: Protect site assets to minimise loss and liability.
General Duties: Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar operational role.
Demonstrated success in process and/or manufacturing environments.
Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
Desirable:
Health and Safety training.
Experience in operating side loaders and forklift machinery.
Experience with overhead cranes.
Experience with Steel
Additional Duties:
Picking orders from both shifts
Offloading and unloading vehicles
Ensuring the yard and warehouse are clean and tidy
