HR Assistant
21 Hours -3 days per week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday pm
Must hold a CIPD Level 3 Foundation - Certificate in People Practice
Main Purpose
To provide support on day-to-day basis. The HR Assistant supports the HR Manager in providing a comprehensive Human Resource service to Managers and staff within the organisation.
Overview
An organisation's greatest asset is their people, so it is important that they are looked after properly. An assistant helps to make sure there is effective management of every employee, a team player and flexible in the type of duties performed. A friendly welcoming individual with that can give attention to detail. A pleasant telephone manner is essential as is great organisational skills.
Areas of Focus
* To act as first line support for all general HR queries, providing timely and accurate advice in line with HR policies and employment law as guided by the HR Manager.
* Attending meetings off site where required to ensure HR representation is available.
* Have the ability to interpret and apply HR policies appropriately and escalate issues to the HR Manager.
* Complete all filing and request records and documentation needed to maintain HR files.
* Maintain a secure and confidential working environment as set out in the principals for data protection.
* Share relevant knowledge and information with local Managers and other colleagues in a timely manner.
· Ensuring that personnel records are accurately and consistently maintained.
* Administer HR-related documentation
* Assisting with all recruitment related administration including managing on-line adverts, helping to screen all applicants, participate in interviews when and where required.
* Recording of sickness, absence, and holidays on HR system.
* Ensuring accurate inputting of employee data into the HR system.
* Take responsibility for continuous professional development in order to stay abreast of changing employment legislation and best practice.
* Lead on department projects as required
