About The Role:
Working Days:Saturday and Sunday 15:00pm - 19:00pm
Are you passionate about providing excellent service and making a difference in people's lives? Join our dedicated team as a General Catering Assistant at one of our esteemed NHS healthcare providers. This role is within a mental health inpatient unit. Candidates must be over 18 years of age.
As a General Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely preparation, delivery, and quality service of all food and beverages to our patients, clients, and guests.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limitedto:
* Ensure that Patient and clients receive a prompt and courteous service at all times.
* Maintain Contract health and safety, and hygiene standards and appropriate documentation following current legislation and company standards.
* Preparation of sandwiches, salads and beverages as required.
* Receive, check, sort and store Supplier products as directed.
* Prepare Food service area to the standard laid out by the management.
* Washing up, general tidying, removal of waste and used crockery/cutlery to be expected along with keeping the work area and kitchen to the highest cleanliness standards.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
* Must have Right to Work in the UK
* An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
* Food Hygiene Certificate and Health & Safety Training qualification – (desirable as training can be provided).
* Practical food handling experience, preferably from within a Healthcare background.
* Willing and able to work shifts (including nights, week days, weekends, Bank Holidays) on any of the Trust Sites.
* Understanding of HACCP & COSHH.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
