Occupational Health & Support Services provide a service that aims to protect and improve the health of police officers and police staff, it specialises in a two-way relationship between all staff and the organisation. The Occupational Health Practitioners are professionally independent and provide an impartial, professional and confidential service to all members of Thames Valley Police. We are looking for a Health Surveillance Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team.
You will manage and perform health surveillance processes in relation to pre placement of police officers and staff as well as the health surveillance of officers within specialist roles. You will also administer vaccines as required in conjunction with the up to date health guidelines and appropriate written instruction. Take blood samples as and when required.
The successful candidate will be a Registered General Nursing (RGN) with substantial general nursing experience and have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with officers and staff at all levels of the organisation.
