About the Job
Programme Manager – Capital Delivery & Development Planning within the Estates & Facilities Directorate. One post will lead programme activity at our Docklands Campus, and the second at our Stratford Campus, each offering the opportunity to steer high‑profile, complex and impactful development programmes.
Responsibilities
* Lead capital and development planning activities to ensure programmes are future‑focused, prioritised and strategically aligned
* Manage, motivate and develop a high‑performing capital delivery team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous professional growth
* Champion delivery excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across programme and project management
* Implement robust governance, assurance, reporting and performance frameworks to drive consistency and confidence
* Work collaboratively across the University and with external partners, influencing decision‑making, investment and estate prioritisation
About You
* Significant experience leading complex capital programmes and development planning in a client‑side or consultancy setting
* Strong people leadership capability, able to inspire, challenge, coach and elevate team performance
* A proven track record of improving delivery processes, programme controls and organisational capability
* Professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) and strong understanding of estates, construction, compliance and governance
* A values‑led approach, committed to inclusivity, sustainability and service excellence
