The role requires an individual with initiative and a keen interest in STEM rather than deep technical expertise. The individual will need to engage broadly across the organisation, with industry and academia partners, and be comfortable briefing school pupils, cadets, undergraduates and adult career switchers. The role would suit an individual with a STEM background, an enthusiasm to learn new skills and an ability to think strategically. There will be a need to dedicate time to continuous professional development and an ability to naturally collaborate across boundaries. A large portion of the role will be developing new audiences and initiatives, building and maintaining relationships, managing contracted outputs and leading on the facilitation and delivery of events. The individual needs to be able to work without supervision, be comfortable with all O365 applications and prepared to brief large audiences on a range of topics.
