Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our developing Gloucestershire CAMHS Outreach service. CAMHS Outreach is a countywide service offering intensive home treatment provision for children and young people aged under 18 experiencing an acute mental health crisis.
Our service focuses on delivering admission avoidance, supporting safe discharge from a Tier 4 in-patient admission. We have a fantastic success rate of supporting children and young people in their recovery at home to ensure they receive the treatment they need.

Job Details
* Location: Acorn House, Horton Road, Gloucester, GL1 3PX
* Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 per annum
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, undertaking clinical responsibility for psychological interventions, risk management, and care planning.
* Provide highly specialist clinical assessments, formulation, and treatment for vulnerable children and young people with high clinical risk and complex needs.
* Lead clinical initiatives and contribute to service improvements in collaboration with the leadership team.
* Participate in the Gloucestershire Psychological Services Team, engaging with colleagues across various psychological disciplines.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Post Graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, accredited by the BPS.
* Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC / ACP.
* Clinical supervisor qualification/training/accreditation.
Desirable:
* Formal Teaching and Assessing Certificate / Qualification.
* Management-related qualification.
Experience
Essential:
* Extensive post-qualification experience providing highly specialist interventions in clinical settings.
* Experience in assessing and managing children and young people with high clinical risk, including self-harm assessments and positive risk management.
* Experience in CAMHS care coordination, working with vulnerable and traumatised children with complex needs.
Desirable:
* Experience developing outcome measurement tools and clinical evaluation systems.
Professional and Personal Skills
* High commitment to extending CAMHS clinical skills through reflective practice and CPD.
* Effective clinical leadership and participation in service development.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
