Availability Window: Tue 09:00–18:30, Thu 11:30–21:00, Fri 11:30–21:00.
Pharmacy Dispenser pay starts from £12.87 per hour and increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high standards of service and patient care.
Every day you will have opportunities to support customers, such as helping with new medicines, providing vaccinations, reviewing medicine use, and checking blood pressure or blood glucose levels. Working alongside experienced Pharmacists and managers, you will receive local management and leadership support in whatever store you are based. Our management team comes from various backgrounds, offering opportunities to learn. We are looking for talented and driven Pharmacy professionals who can deliver high-quality healthcare service, with a supportive team, detailed industry training, and a varied working environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
* Applying technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for customers.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Talking to customers in a confident, friendly and professional manner to provide a great service and encourage return visits.
* Offering information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understanding customer needs, explaining product benefits, and recommending appropriate products.
* Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Dealing with clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within area of competence.
* Responding to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
* Keeping dispensary and consulting rooms clean, tidy and free of clutter.
* Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Bringing promotional activities and company initiatives to life within the team.
* Carrying out procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure trade is safe and legal.
* Completing corporate and departmental training and keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
