Role Summary:
Factory and office hygiene is an essential part of the business and is critical to the production of a safe product.
You will be working as part of a small team to ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are always maintained in the warehouse, offices and associated facilities across 4 Andover sites
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all areas of the factory (including non-production facilities such as canteens, toilets, and offices) are cleaned to a predetermined schedule and to the required standard.
* Maintain high levels of tidiness, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the building.
* Carry out deep cleaning of production areas against the annual cleaning schedule.
* Identify and recommend improvements, replacements and repairs as appropriate through the Hygiene team leader.
* Support the hosting of visitors and key meetings, such as room setup and lunch clear-up.
* Complete all relevant documentation connected to the hygiene function.
* Monitor stock levels of cleaning consumables, equipment, and chemicals.
* Any other work and responsibilities as directed from time to time and consistent with the expertise and status of the role.
Requirements: Essential
* Due to the nature of the Hygiene Operative role, which involves the use of various cleaning chemicals, it is essential that operatives possess a sufficient level of English language proficiency. This includes reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, to ensure they can understand chemical labels, safety instructions, and appropriate usage guidelines.
* A confident and assertive individual.
* The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with different team members.
* Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise with diligence, in order to ensure high standard of work.
* The ability to work successfully within different teams.
* Professional and honest with integrity.
* The ability to complete documentation accurately and when required.
Desirable:
* Experience working with an ethnically diverse workforce.
* Experience in a similar environment working is desirable.
What we offer:
* Salary of £12.60 per hour (FTE).
* This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
* 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (FTE).
