Salary: Up to £100 per day / £24,500 per annum (after 6months temp contract) - Depending on experience

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary setting in the North Kent area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping students with additional needs reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND, including Autism, SEMH, and PMLD.
2. Assist with classroom learning, ensuring lessons are inclusive and accessible.
3. Support students with personal development, independence, and emotional well-being.
4. Implement tailored learning strategies under the guidance of teaching staff and the SENCO.
5. Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding, and equality of opportunity.
Requirements:
6. Experience supporting young people with SEND (school-based or care setting experience welcomed).
7. Understanding of Autism, SEMH, or complex needs.
8. Patient, resilient, and empathetic nature.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
11. Manual Handling training is ESSENTIAL to this role.
