The Role
As part of Ringway Jacobs Senior Leadership Team, the Head of HR is responsible for shaping and delivering people strategies across the business. By partnering with senior leaders, you will drive impactful pragmatic HR initiatives whilst leading a well-established people function.
Acting as a trusted advisor, with confidence to speak truth to power, this is a broad role that operates in an environment with high autonomy and trust and balances strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery of practical and commercially focused solutions.
Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a well-established HR team.
* Developing and implementing people strategies that align with business priorities and reflect our visions and values.
* Partnering with senior leaders to ensure fairness, inclusion and respect is at the heart of business decisions and supports a culture of growth, honesty and flexibility.
* Ensuring compliance with UK legislation, development of streamlined processes and procedures and implementation of best practice.
* Advising on complex employee relations matters including TUPE, redundancy, organisational design and change management.
* Designing and developing management learning materials to upskill new and existing managers to ensure fairness and consistency and role model our ABC of leadership.
* Providing advice and support regarding the recruitment, development and retention of key roles across the business, succession planning and talent management.
* Developing and maintaining strong working relationships across the business to ensure a collaborative approach to business solutions is adopted and maintained.
About You
* Have a proven track record as a generalist HR practitioner at a senior level.
* Are confident, resilient and comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
* Work with a proactive and pragmatic approach that values ‘real world’ experience over theory.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness.
* Are a self‑starter with a people focused mind‑set who enjoys seeing others grow and develop.
* Can demonstrate broad technical competence in all aspects of employment law, compliance practices and policies.
* Build rapport quickly by balancing honesty and flexibility to find common ground.
* Champion collaboration to achieve the best solutions for the business.
* Are comfortable with a ‘hands on’ practical approach as well as working strategically.
