Role Description:
As Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will act as a servant leader and Agile Release Train (ART) coach, facilitating ART events and processes, and supporting teams in delivering value. Your responsibilities include communicating with stakeholders, escalating impediments, managing risks, and driving continuous improvement.
In this senior role within our agile ecosystem, you will also support the development of Scrum Masters within the community and advocate for agile practices across the organization.
Salary Information:
Location: Guildford
Circa £80,000, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our total reward package.
About You:
1. Coordinate multiple delivery teams ensuring alignment with SAFe cadence, PI planning, demos, and scrum of scrums.
2. Facilitate key events to ensure teams are prepared for the SAFe cadence and information flows seamlessly.
3. Consolidate and share team objectives, ensuring clarity of the program vision.
4. Demonstrate transformational leadership, motivate teams, foster open culture, and drive improvement.
5. Identify and address impediments actively to achieve iteration goals.
6. Engage with other teams for support and manage escalations.
7. Collaborate with other RTEs and Scrum Masters to remove external dependencies.
8. Manage Risks & Issues with the ePMO and Delivery Managers to ensure value realization and governance.
9. Monitor ART performance metrics and work with Scrum Masters on continuous improvement.
10. Communicate achievements and challenges organization-wide.
11. Ensure cohesion and transparency across Scrum teams.
Essential Skills:
* Effective verbal and written communicator.
* Knowledge of SAFe and Scrum frameworks.
* Proficiency in Jira and related tools.
* Experience in financial management within agile environments.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Effective collaborator with teams and stakeholders.
* Experience in data environment change delivery.
* Change management expertise.
* Experience in scaled agile product and change delivery.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience managing lean budgets.
* Industry experience, preferably in Financial Services.
