Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year Requirements: We need a production-first mindset with calm, structured troubleshooting under pressure. We need strong analytical and problem-solving skills. We need strong communication skills to work across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and third-party vendors. We need experience supporting systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or in a role with high uptime requirements. We need a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP, VLANs, and routing concepts, and how connectivity affects shop-floor systems. We need practical experience supporting Windows endpoints and basic server or service dependencies in an operational environment. We need working knowledge of SQL fundamentals. We need the ability to coordinate vendors and maintain disciplined documentation. Desirable: experience supporting production data systems and integrations. Desirable: experience working with IT segmentation concepts and vendor access governance. Desirable: Power BI or reporting awareness. Desirable: experience with ticketing systems and basic ITIL-style incident and change processes. Responsibilities: We own and improve the reliability of factory-floor systems and production data flows, bridging IT, Operational Technology, and business reporting needs. We support plant-floor PCs, industrial connectivity, and vendor access patterns, ensuring production data flow is stable, monitored, and well-documented. We monitor, maintain, and develop the businesss data systems and reporting, ensuring quality data and reporting are available and well-documented. We work closely with the Infrastructure & Security Engineer to ensure OT networks are securely segmented. We work with the DBA & Systems Development Engineer to maintain resilient SQL and reporting pipelines. We support and maintain plant-floor PCs, terminals, and industrial endpoints used in production operations. We own Operational Technology connectivity troubleshooting in collaboration with Engineering and vendors. We support OT network structure and segmentation, including VLANs and access paths. We are the primary owner for production systems and data flow reliability, monitoring, and issue resolution. We troubleshoot SQL and ETL job failures that impact production reporting or operational decision-making. We perform daily health checks on production data flow. We review production-impacting alerts and incidents daily and ensure the escalation path is followed when required. We maintain an up-to-date Operational Technology asset inventory.
