Responsible to: Head of Drama and Theatre
Location: Stephen Perse Cambridge Senior School and Sixth Form
Role Description
At Key Stage 3, Drama is taught as a discrete subject in Years 7 and 8, and is then in Year 9 an optional subject where keen students can choose between Drama Performance and Drama Backstage. At Key Stage 4 and 5, we offer GCSE Drama and A Level Drama and Theatre for those students who wish to study Drama as an academic subject: for both courses we follow the AQA specification.
Alongside curriculum Drama we run a very busy and creative co-curricular programme of clubs and performances. We believe that Drama should be inclusive and we encourage students of all ability levels to get involved, either on stage or behind the scenes. We stage four full scale, staff-directed productions each year, giving students of all ages an opportunity to perform annually in a play. Productions are supported by students attending backstage and tech clubs and enrichment programmes.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative drama teacher on a full-time or part-time basis. This role is to start in January 2026 until August 2026.
