Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section, where you'll become a champion of our delicious baked goods. We're seeking passionate individuals with a love for baking and a deep understanding of bakery products to deliver fresh perspectives every day. You'll be a brand ambassador who's ready to recommend our delicious bakery products. Through remarkable service you'll make sure our customers feel truly valued every time they shop with us.
Responsibilities
* Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points.
* Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with product.
* Monitor and deliver on the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
* Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to store.
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
* Train to utilise all digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time.
* Be ready to roll up sleeves, work hard and go above and beyond every day; be digitally confident to use tools such as the Sparks App to enhance the customer experience.
* Maintain high standards in food safety and hygiene while being adaptable to changing demands of the retail environment.
* Work effectively across various areas of the store as needed, supporting a great inclusive store environment and respecting colleagues and customers.
