The primary objective of the Sustainability Scheme Manager is to support the Carbon & Sustainability Services Director to establish and maintain a successful team, oversee activities, ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, and help grow industry-leading sustainability services. The role involves raising profile within existing and new client bases and the wider sector, with evolving responsibilities aligned with NQA’s strategy.
The role covers the entire NQA Carbon and Sustainability portfolio, including Chain of Custody, Supply Chain Services, and PEFC, to strengthen and expand NQA’s services globally.
The market is rapidly growing and changing; the role requires proactive engagement with the sector, management of the team, and raising organizational and personal profile.
The position will have direct line responsibility for four management posts.
Location
Flexible. Options include remote, on-site, or hybrid working. Willingness to travel to offices, client sites, and other locations is expected.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (environmental, sustainability, business management, etc.)
* At least 2 years’ certification or relevant industry experience
* Interest and enthusiasm for sustainability and carbon verification schemes
* Completion and passing of relevant Lead Auditor/Verifier courses (EMS, EnMS, GHG, CoC/Supply Chain schemes)
