Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor with PGCE or QTS qualification to provide personalised educational support to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively engage and motivate students in their learning journey. This is an after school role.
Duties
* Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
* Develop customised lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address specific learning objectives.
* Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
* Provide support in English skills, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
* Collaborate with parents and educators to track student progress and share insights on development.
* Maintain a professional attitude while creating a nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning.
Skills
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children of varying ages.
* Familiarity with special education practices and strategies is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students and parents.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching approaches.
