About the Role
Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for students with special educational needs as well as transport to day care services for adults. Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Passenger Assistant to join us on a 25-hour term time only basis. This role is based in Warwick, with occasional cover at Nuneaton and Rugby.
You will work in a team on a split shift system: morning shift between 7:15 am and 11:00 am and afternoon shift between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. You will transport adults and children to day care, respite placements and schools, helping passengers with learning or physical disabilities on and off the bus, ensuring comfort and safety, maintaining records, and keeping the bus clean and tidy after each use. A full training package will be provided if successful.
Skills And Experience
* Ability to work on split shift system; good communication and customer care skills; courteous and sensitive service.
* Ability to work on own initiative; flexible; able to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
* Experience in multicultural environments and with young/elderly people and/or people with disabilities is advantageous.
