Assessment Social Worker (Children's Services) North Tyneside Council Up to £31ph North Tyneside Council is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our dedicated team. The Role You will play a crucial role in our Children's Services, completing initial contact and in-depth assessments for young people and their families. Your work will focus on assessment, risk analysis, and safeguarding. Key Responsibilities: * Undertake robust and timely assessments (including Section 17 and Section 47) for children and young people. * Establish effective working relationships with children, young people, and their families. * Analyse complex information to make sound, child-focused recommendations. * Develop clear, measurable, and outcome-focused plans. * Work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting, ensuring the voice of the child is central to all work. * Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate case recordings. What You'll Bring You must be a qualified and registered Social Worker with proven post-qualifying experience, ideally within a children's assessment or intervention setting. * Current and valid Social Work England registration. * Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004. * Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. * The ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
