I have an immediate need for a Platform Engineer for my client based in the NW of the UK (Remote-First with 1 day on site per month).
As a Platform Engineer (2-3 years experience), you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services that underpin the organisation’s software applications. The Platform Engineer will work with the Lead Platform Engineer to contribute to platform stability, scalability, and performance
Azure Services & Infrastructure:
* Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Azure-based infrastructure, focusing on PaaS and IaaS solutions.
* Apply best practices for cloud infrastructure management, including basic optimisation for performance and cost-efficiency.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
* Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring the smooth deployment of software applications.
* Assist in the setup and monitoring of all aspects of the platform.
Collaboration & Communication:
* Collaborate closely with all engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the achievement of team goals.
* Engage in regular communication with team members and stakeholders to report on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Required:
* Solid experience of cloud computing, particularly with Azure services and infrastructure.
* Experience building, configuring, and deploying software solutions built using Microsoft .Net (API’s, Service) and JavaScript rich Web Apps (ReactJS)
* IAC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM etc)
Preferred:
* Understanding of SQL Server database management and querying.
The role is paying upto £45k - expectation to be based on site 1 x per month.
