EfW Senior Operations Technician
Are you working in a process plant environment within the Power Generation, Chemical Process / Production, Waste Water Treatment or similar Engineering industry?
Role Details:
Salary & Benefits: £40,583 - £44,432, 20% shift allowance, up to 10% annual bonus, 3 x life assurance policy, 5% employer pension
Hours: 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts - 2 days 2 nights 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am (18 day break after 7 rotations)
Location: Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre - EFW
What will I be doing?
1. Monitoring, controlling and optimising EfW plant operations to maximise availability and performance
2. Troubleshooting issues, adjusting processes, keeping accurate logs, and carrying out sampling
3. Deputising for the Shift Manager when required, gaining leadership and decision‑making experience
4. Actively contributing to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
What are the requirements?
5. A background in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, qualified to HNC level or equivalent
6. Experience in an EfW plant or similar process environment (e.g. biomass, power generation, energy or wastewater)
7. Knowledge of safe systems of work (SSOW), with exposure to boilers, incinerators or HV switchgear desirable
